Today's stop : Meursault !
Another lovely little town of Burgundy (Bourgogne), famous for its wine, and also because the town hall was used in the famous French movie "La Grande Vadrouille" (1966), which was until 2008 the most successful French movie in France.
Meursault is the home of the international event "La Paulée de Meursault", which is a lunch celebrating the end of the grape harvest in Burgundy. Originally it included only winemakers, cellar workers & the surrounding community. Financial Times has asserted that La Paulée "can be reasonably be described as the greatest Bacchanalia on the face of the earth". (source : Wikipedia)
