a little review of the apps on my phone
I thought I'd share with you some apps that I've found & have been using. I have an iPhone so maybe some are not available for androids, sorry. I'll spare you the basics like Instagram, you all know what it is ok ?
Free version : you can track up to 3 parcels (at the same time) that you have sent or that you're waiting to be delivered, as long as you have a reference/tracking number
Paying version : idem but for an unlimited number of parcels
Very useful for sellers when you send parcels with a tracking number, but very useful for everyone.
Free version : you can listen to a large selection of channels (130) : classical, jazz, relaxation, world music ... with some interruptions for a little ad (for Calm Radio subscription only)
Paying version : idem but no interruption
I listen to the Orient channel (mainly Japanese, Chinese traditional music) but also the Singing Bowls channel when I want no distraction. (a singing bowl is a type of bell used for relaxation or meditation)
You can listen to these channels online if you have a Mac, there in iTunes > Radio > World
I listen to contemporary music.
There's an app for your Mac, online as well.
I listen to mixes. Well not very often, I must admitt.
Paying version : unit & currency converter. Probably the most useful app on my phone. Not that expensive (not even 3 $/€ I think) compared to what it can do for you. Temperature, currency, lenghts, mass, power, energy ... you will find them all !!
I use it for converting currencies & lengths mostly. Very handy !
Photo editor app.
I use it for the photos I post on Instagram.
NIHONGO NO KANA
This is just a fun app for trying to learn Japanese.
If you follow blogs on Bloglovin, then the app is very handy, I find it better than the online version.
Task/to do manager.
Note down ideas as if you were writting them down on post-its. Handy when you don't have a pen & paper at your reach.
Have used it more than once.
Note taking app, but so large that I haven't explored it all yet. If you are the very organized type, this is for you !
You can write & publish blog posts on your Squarespace blog, on the go.
I used it when my computer went to repair last spring. Very handy, I was happy it existed !
Also available : Squarespace note, Squarespace metrics, Squarespace portfolio
Well, no need to explain. Can be very useful.
You can turn a document you will take a photo with your iphone, into a PDF file. (like a scanner would do)
I've used it already several times & it was pretty great.
Allows you to read the QR codes.
I've used it & it works.
Allows you to record videos just as if you used a 8MM recorder. Fun !
Allows you to add text on phone videos.
Allows you to make time lapse videos.
Haven't tried it yet but sounds fun !
Allows you to make watercolor looking pictures from your photos.
It's pretty stunning, actually !
Allows you to watch or publish videos on Vimeo.
Can help you spend some time, watching videos, if you already are on Vimeo & have likes etc.
Collage photo editor.
I've used it recently for making collage montages. Handy !
POWER NAP APP
It's an alarm clock app with relaxing sounds. Timer up to 30mn, not more, before you fall into deeper sleep.
I've already used it & it is practical !
Note : This is the version with a cat on it. (there are several power nap apps)
Countdown to events you add : birthdays, holidays, travels etc ! Very handy, even for children !
I use it & love it !
If you have a Bigcartel shop, you might want to download it. Nice interface.
ADOBE COLOR CC
Allows to capture color combinations wherever you see them !
I've already use it & if you're into color combos, you might love it too !
I've used it a couple of times with a far away friend mostly. Are you there too ?
Interactive painting & sound toy. Paintings were made by Anna Emilia Laitinen.
365 inspirational quotes.
That's pretty much everything. If you have apps that you use & that are very useful or fun, please share them in the comment section ! Thanks !
