Happy equinox everyone, may it be Spring one or Autumn one ! (if you live in the southern hemisphere)

We bought a couple of flowers yesterday & sowed our very first seeds of the season, yay ! This spring, I went for cherry tomatoes (again), cosmos flowers (again), pink ipomoeas (I hope they'll make more leaves & cover more than the Morning Glories), and zinnias, which I hope will thrive !

Our Japanese maple, after a difficult summer, is making buds & leaves again. Phew. The buds are just starting to unfurl, they are so adorable & touching to see :

The rosemaries are in full bloom (I plan to have more, because it does well in the heat, and keep their leaves all year around, which is fantastic !), which is lovely to see.

This last photo above is available as Desktop Wallpaper in the Goodies section of the site. I hope you'll enjoy as much as I enjoy having it in my garden !

Have a lovely day ! Thank you for your visit today !

With love,

Sonia

Pitou Sunday

our cat Pitou, daily lifeCozy Memories

A long time ago, I created a tag for this blog : "Pitou Sunday", but apparently I got out of this habit, so here it comes again ! A whole post for my Pitou ! Because he's worth it !

It is undeniable that he LOVES having a garden of his own now. I will not blame him since I feel the same about it ! We're both thrilled to have a garden to enjoy, with corners here & there for gently soaking in the sun & do our things !

He soaks in the sun longer than I do. But I am so thankful to have a garden, and a corner of it that is in the sun when the rest of it is in the shade, that I am sitting outside almost everyday. I try to fndt a moment of my day to do so, because I know I am lucky & I want to fully enjoy this opportunity.

I mean, Pitou and I do not take anything for granted. We've moved so many times (even before finding Pitou), and finally settling in a house with a garden is a true reward.

As much as he loves to be outside in the garden (or outside of it !), he just loves being indoors with us. Although our house is small (113m2 = 1216ftsq), he has many favorite spots, including a soft bed in our bedroom, a whicker basket in the living room, the sofa, the boys' beds .... etc ...

He truly is my cozy Pitou.

Happy Sunday, everyone ! With love,

Sonia

the last three days of our Advent Calendar

celebrations, children crafts, food, holiday season, our cat PitouCozy Memories

I had to wait until today to find time to post the recap of the three final activities in our Advent Calendar.

Last  Friday (Day 22), the activity was making homemade Crunch-style chocolate. Basically, melt chocolate (we used organic 55% dark), and mix in with puffed rice. (we use organic whole) The process was super easy, the result was a hit ! Yay !

Last Saturday (Day 23), the activity was making photo holders with aluminium wire. Another easy, fast & rewarding activity, wonderful !

And the final day (Day 24), the activity was baking "pizza crackers" (vegan), and we used this recipe by Elephantastic Vegan. Very basic (and few) ingredients that most everyone has at home. Again, easy, relatively fast, and we ate them on Christmas Eve dinner.

I will make a recap post, including the activities from Advent Calendars past.

I hope you've had a beautiful Christmas day (or whatever you celebrated). Ours was simple, as usual, with my mom & inlaws at our place. It was grey, damp & cold, a good day for staying indoors, cozy.

With love,

Sonia
