I prefer flowers to hackers

... but, sincerely, who wouldn't ?! This is just a silly title but my cup is full this morning : my shop IG account was hacked for the 3rd time two days ago, and a 4th time this past night. Yes, I had activated the two-steps verification, and the accounts were hacked when I was sleeping, the messages sent to my phone number were sent while I was sleeping, and apparently Instagram doesn't care about it, and let the accounts get hacked.

This morning, I created a new email account for creating this latest IG account for my shop, and I changed the passwords to my current email address. Seriously, why me and why so many times ?! I haven't done anything wrong for deserving this ! Anyway, if you care to follow Cozy Memories on Instagram all over again (and again), my account can be found at _cozymemories (please not the underscore, the symbol looking like a dash but at a lower level). Thank you for your constant support & interest.

Now back to flowers, shall we ?
The flowers on top are Erigeron karvinskianus, aka Mexican fleabane, Santa Barbara daisy, Karwinsky's fleabane, and much more ! They are perennial, and really very sweet multicolor daisies !

These two, above, are a Bidens (yellow) and a Nepeta (purple), but not sure of the exact variety. They both look very nice in my flower bed !

I have also added two Rosmarinus officinalis (aka rosemary), they add such a nice touch, and will be very useful for cooking ! (and I've used this photo for refreshing my website & shop)

Pitou loves this flower bed, maybe a little too much (ah ah !) and often chews on young shots of other plants I have !

Better go now.  Thanks a lot for your visit today !

tropical splash of color

After an almost summery week (yes, in March !), I got inspired this past Monday to go to a nursery & get some plant & flowers for the garden. I bought a little handful of them, some to put above the (ugly & plain) mailbox, but my main purchase, the one that makes my heart smile, is this superb Bougainvillea "Manyla", with peachy pink flowers. Well, actually parts of the flowers are pink & others are peach/salmon. It has a medium size as of today (didn't buy it too small nor too big) but I'm really really looking forward for it to growing bigger & bigger & cover the wall of our garage ! It adds such a girly & tropical splash of color to this corner, I simply love it !

The flower is not native from here (it is from south-America), but it will enjoy our Mediterranean climate very much ! It was named after French admiral & explorer Louis Antoine de Bougainville. (1729-1811)

The weather is back to more springy seasonal temps & kind of weather (wind & stormy rain coming our way), for which I don't complain at all (we need the water !), but the feeling of these colors on the photos below will make you feel in the heart of summer ! They might inspire you for painting or drawing or anything else, who knows !

If you wonder how Pitou is doing, he's doing very well, enjoying every possible corner of the garden (and beyond ! ah !), and when the sun is out, you can find him under one of the palm trees ...

I am aware that some of you are unable to leave comments here, and I apologize. If I make the switch again to Disqus, all the other comments will disappear. But I might do that again if that's too much hassle for you all.

Thanks for visiting today.

indoor and outdoor Pitou

Adjusting to a new home while doing our best to keep Pitou (our cat) indoors for three whole weeks was quite a task ! He needed to get used to the inside of his new house & make it HIS home before he could go outside & make it ITS garden ! So during 3 whole weeks, it's been pretty much like this, for Pitou : {click the small photos to enlarge}

But he could smell the outside from the windows or when we would go out & in, etc. He was so eager to get out ! He eventually got out, under our supervision. He is enjoying it very much (surprise ?!), he was an outdoor cat before we rescued him, after all ! He is now a little more relaxed than at the beginning when his senses (according to me) were bombarded with sensory informations ! (from other cats !) He now loooooves to eat grass !

I must admitt it still feels a bit weird for me to see him outside, I've only seen him indoors, but I know it will pass ... I'm not just used to it completely !

Seeing him run & jump like a kitten is priceless, it completely melts my heart !

I hope this post finds you all happy & healthy. Better go, cheerio ! (Pitou butt photo was a must LOL)
