bringing the "slow is good" back

blog19-slowisgood1.jpg

Wel hellooooo … I wish I had had the time last week for blogging but the flu got the best of my eldest (16), he had to stay home for 3 school days (1st time in years & years) then I started to feel unwell myself so that was a pretty long week to say the least ! Now I’m coughing like crazy & my youngest has a cold as well. Oh well … thank you winter !

Anyway … I have decided to dust off some oldies and therefore a couple of “Slow is good” mug rugs are ready to ship !

I have embroidered the text with a dark blue floss instead of the powdery pink I used in the past. I thought it made it more visible. This is a pretty good reminder that slow is actual good. Specially when you’re making a coffee/tea/biscuit break … ah !

You can find the mug rug in the shop { here }.

Wishing you all a great (and healthy) week ahead ! Thank you for stopping by today. Please don’t feel shy, say hi in the comments if you actually took of your precious time for reading my blog post ! I’d love to hear from you !

new heart ornaments

Before I get started about how ackward it feels to pick up the blog after over five months of neglecting it, please allow me to introduce you to the last two heart shaped ornaments that just went straight to the shop …

I made them with all my heart & they are made of naturally (dip) dyed linen & cotton, or naturally dyed silk threads for the embroidery, of hemp twine for the hoop, and of organic cotton stuffing for the filling. They are sold individually, and have different prices because they are not exactly the same size.

As I said in a previous post, hubby’s now working 1000km away from home, and undeniably, this has shaken up our summer holidays & our way to go back to school & to new routines. We’re now pretty much settled but it’s been a challenge on many levels, as much for the boys & for me, as for hubby himself, being alone over there.

Anyway, finding my way back to creativity in this pretty mess was another big challenge of mine. But apparently, I’m seeing the end of the tunnel. Or at least I hope so.

I’m not sure anyone now visits my blog … but if you do, please say hello so that I can be aware of your visit ! I promise to be back more regularly … I have so much to catch up with !

Sonia

FLORA pincushions

Three new pincushions were just added to the shop. They are made of naturally dyed fibers exclusively, stuffed with organic cotton, and are so dainty & charming, specially together !

It'll be forever spring in your craftroom with one of these by your side !

The floral motif I embroidered with naturally dyed silks, is inspired by a stamp I had hand carved many years ago.

They can be found (they are available seperately) over here in the SHOP, where you will get much more informations about them, and where there are different photos.

Have a beautiful rest of your weekend. Thank you so kindly for your visit !

With love,

Sonia
